I didn’t start an AM and PM routine until my early-30’s. I didn’t know the importance of consistent skincare other than to remove makeup and attempt to prevent acne breakouts. Bottom line: the earlier one starts this the better, but it’s never too late to take care of your skin. Quality over quantity. You can’t put a price on great skin, rather it’s an investment into your future.
Why is Exfoliation Important?
As we age, the process of cell regeneration slows down. This means that the body is slower to shed skin cells and generate new ones. When old skin cells start to pile up on the surface of the skin, it can leave skin looking dull, rough, and dry. Furthermore, the build-up of dead skin cells can result in excess oil and clogged pores, leading to blemishes and acne.
Proper exfoliation removes the barrier of dead skin cells clogging the skin and uncovers fresh new cells below. This opens the way for moisturizing products to penetrate more deeply into the skin, which makes them more effective. In short, a regular exfoliating routine will leave your skin looking fresh and healthy.

TONERS: I personally didn’t really see the importance of using one until I started school for esthetics! Is it necessary?
Unquestionably YES! Toner may be the one thing missing from your skin care routine that could make all the difference.
Here’s how:
-Toner balances the skin’s PH, which may be disrupted during the cleansing process.
-It also works to prep the skin for moisturizers, serum, & other treatments.
-Toner helps remove residual dirt, makeup, oil, & other impurities.
-Specific toners address certain skin concerns, including sensitivity, acne, & anti-aging
